Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst
This position reports to the Director of Wi-Fi Data Analysis, and will be the primary report analyst, responsible for enabling information delivery to the business. This position will provide analysis of data from data warehouse, transactional database and other sources.
Major Responsibilities
- Define reporting requirements as well as identifying, transparently documenting, and resolving reporting discrepancies of business concern.
- Clarify definitions of business terms, drives for standards/consensus in reporting concepts, and assure that definitions for reported elements are intuitive.
- Design report publication process and standards using Sharepoint and other publication tools
- Define reporting requirements as well as transparently describing reporting assumptions when differing methodologies might produce variable results, and documents such assumptions on all reports.
- Define reports, dashboards, analytic tools based upon data in the supporting data structures.
- Work closely with the technical team to enhance the data warehouse and reporting services to support business needs.
- Provide assistance in Data Warehouse development activities, Business Analysis, and/or other support duties as appropriate and necessary.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of reporting analysis, report development, and/or data warehousing required.
- Expert experience with report generation and definition
- Successful experience in a customer support role.
- PC software skills experience and knowledge of other reporting packages; major software system implementation experience.
- Superb writing skills to author scope documents, needs analyses and feasibility studies.
- Customer service driven, and able to work effectively in a Matrix organization.

May gather, analyze, and/or interpret a wide variety of data. May select data samples, prepares questionnaires, and analyzes collected information according to established statistical methods. May prepares reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids. Typically 3-5 years professional experience, fully competent professional, possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments. Usually works with minimum supervision, conferring with superior on unusual matters. Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity. Has appreciable latitude for un-reviewed action or decision. Usually Reports to: Lead/Section Head Level or second level management.
